First place! That's right: Seton Hotel won the Logos Battle of the Bands, besting the 35 other bands who entered the competition. In celebration of this wonderful accomplishment, the band has two more September shows.

The first takes place at a recently opened, all-ages club in downtown Indy called the Irving. Starting at 7pm this Saturday, 23 September, the concert also features some other bands, including Berry, Novada, and Ben Grimm.

Seton Hotel scored another strike this past weekend, coming ever closer to that elusive 300. The band placed first among the five bands in their semifinal grouping at the Logos Battle of the Bands and so move on to the finals. If you still haven't made a trip to see the boys, there is no better time than this Saturday, September 16, because the competition is tough, and Seton Hotel would love to have your vote on its side.

Other upcoming shows include a date at Center Grove High School and one at the Irving in Indianapolis.

Seton Hotel has plenty more shows, so if you've been looking for your fix, this is the time of year. Check the "Live Appearances" page for details, and email the band if you need directions anywhere.

If you're going to make any show, though, be sure it's the Battle of the Bands show at Logos on August 11. Despite what you may think, your vote actually is important, so call your neighbors, rouse the troops, and head down to Franklin for Seton Hotel.

The Seton Hotel debut album is nearing completion. Visit their page for more information.

Seton Hotel advanced to the second round of the Logos Battle of the Bands by placing first among the four bands of the evening. They will continue their run to the winner's circle by performing another concert sometime in August. When more information comes along, you'll be the first to know. Congratulations to Seton Hotel, who continue to prove why they are the best band in these here parts.

In other news, Basement Music is providing two new songs for download on our recently added "Clickables" page. There, you can find the two songs in question, as well as links to all the sites maintained by Basement Music and its affiliates.

The first song is a track from Seton Hotel's upcoming album, "Vibrations." The second is a new one from the Filibusters. "In the Bag" was recorded this week, but it's not attached to any official release at the moment.

If you haven’t yet seen Seton Hotel in concert, July 8 is the perfect time to do so, and they want you there more than ever! That date is the beginning of an epic battle of the bands at Logos featuring more than forty bands from all over the area. Doors open at 6:45 and cover is $7. If you’ve ever wanted to support the good groups and fight the good fight, come see Seton Hotel on the 8th.

Last weekend, Seton Hotel won the top prize at the Teen Music Fest in downtown Indianapolis over representative bands from the entire central Indiana area. Their blistering set garnered them some professional studio time and the respect of the Indianapolis music scene.

On the subject of music studios, the band is also making wonderful progress on their upcoming debut, with a release date planned for the end of the summer. You can visit their website at http://setonhotel.tripod.com for more information, or become their friend on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/setonhotel. At the MySpace page, you can listen to three of the songs they have already recorded, and we recommend doing so.
